Advanced technology: Jaguar advanced technology is focused on delivering relevant worthwhile benefits to the driver or passengers, never technology for its own sake. The aim is always to enhance the relationship between car and driver, not to intercede in it.
Racetrack testing: The Jaguar S-TYPE had to prove its driveability and reliability during hundreds of laps through the 73 corners of the former Formula One circuit at Nürburgring in Germany. Jaguar´s new German test centre also extensively tested and fine-tuned the S-TYPE´s advanced electronic systems, including its Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), and the CATS adaptive damper system.
142 robots apply the thousands of spot welds with scientific precision to ensure that the S-TYPE body performs as if it´s hewn from a piece of solid steel. Then an elaborate laser camera system ensures that every body component fits with pinpoint accuracy.
